Before it became the “hall\,” it was a railway station on the wharf at Port Guichon.\nPhotograph By DELTA MUSEUM AND ARCHIVES SOCIETY\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNov. 24 is the date to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Ladner Fishermen’s Hall. \nThe social committee for Ladner Fishermen’s Hall is finalizing plans to ensure the building’s 75th celebration will be a memorable occasion. \n\nFestivities will commence as an afternoon social from 1 to 4 p.m. with a mix of artists performing live music and reflections of the hall’s 75 years in the community. There will be time for families and friends to connect; listen to speeches\, view historic photo displays\, and enjoy food and beverages. \n\nEvening festivities include a dance with live music featuring The Karmichaels.\n\n\n\n\nBruce Stevens\, president of Ladner Fishermen’s Cooperative Association\, will serve as master of ceremonies and welcome families\, friends and guests. He will also give a speech and invite guest speakers to say a few words and share highlights of life and times at Ladner Fishermen’s Hall since it was established in 1943. \nUpdates will be posted on the association’s website at www.LFCA.ca/anniversaries/75a. \nAnd don’t forget about the Fish Hall 75th Photo Contest.
